Between Self and Thought

I have a proclivity

Toward levity

This essentially means

I don’t let the small shit get to me

And rather than sink into woe

I seek to use the emotions for flow

Electing my muse as my arbiter

Expecting to not be perfecting

But trying to get better

Regardless of weather

Or whether or not I feel like it initially

The decision to act is the epitome of simplicity

But we often get lost

In the duplicitousness of our minds

Meditation asks us to witness this

And quiet the viciousness, like be kind

With patience, the inner observer shines

Between self and thought, draw the line
